Fuchs Lubricants wanted to conduct a designed experiment to test the mixture components of one of their ingredient formulations. One of the mixture components was available from different sources, but this particular component required different ranges depending on the source of the material (e.g., if the material was from source A, the range was 5%-10% of the mixture, and if it was from source B, the range was 7%-14% of the mixture). So, using the Custom Design platform in JMP and a special constraint script, an efficient design was developed. This presentation will discuss the constraint script and the experimental results.
