Hansol Paper Janghang Plant PM23 is a facility that produces thermal paper, and it achieved Global No. 1 productivity for thermal paper by utilizing process operation information and JMP Tool. In order to improve productivity, it was necessary to increase the speed of the facility, and it was thought that the bottleneck for increasing the speed of the facility was the lack of vacuum capacity. However, the necessity of investment in increasing vacuum capacity was not persuasively explained. However, this project verified the feasibility of investment in increasing vacuum capacity for PM23 before the investment by utilizing process operation information and JMP Tool (Verification), and after the investment was completed, analyzed the results of the increase and predicted the future (Prediction), and discovered Business Insight. PM23 achieved Global No. 1 productivity by increasing the speed to 20m/min through this project in 2020, and is currently challenging to achieve the design maximum speed by utilizing the facility invested at that time in 2022.
