When developing coils, the electrical characteristics are designed using CAE or magnetic circuit simulation.
This design was carried out using JMP's experimental planning (Space Filling planning), model creation (Gaussian process model), and the simulator function of the JMP prediction profiler to optimize the process capability index (Cpk), aiming to reduce design time and achieve a high-quality product design through robust design.
However, when the factor range of the experimental design is wide, there may be few experimental points within the product specification range, which poses problems with estimation accuracy.
Therefore, in order to efficiently improve the estimation accuracy, we considered a two-stage design in which the optimal value is found over a wide range in the first stage, and in the second stage, the range is narrowed down to near the optimal value of the first stage to perform final optimization.
This method enabled us to obtain optimal design values with greater accuracy.
After gaining experience in device development process work at Toko Corporation, he became involved in simulation work such as large-scale analysis.
