Scientific analysis helps R&D breakthroughs: insights from statistics and data analysisThe rapid development of scientific analysis and the power of artificial intelligence (AI) have completely changed the R&D process in all industries. We will introduce an overview of scientific analysis and explore the methods needed for Dow employees to apply data-driven insights and scientific thinking to new product development. At the same time, we will share case studies of experimental design (DOE) and regression modeling techniques for optimizing process parameters in polyurethane formulation applications. In addition, we will also show case studies of using machine learning algorithms to reveal patterns in complex historical data and using artificial neural networks to extract key knowledge from limited data samples.
