At the Discovery Summit Japan in 2017, I gave a presentation titled "Create free surface shapes with JMP" about a design method for in-plane distribution. At that time, I mentioned that a future challenge would be to expand the method to higher-order polynomial models. In this presentation, I will introduce a more advanced design method for in-plane distribution using the Function Data Explorer implemented in JMP Pro. I will also introduce some of the presentations from 2017 to provide an overview of the design method for in-plane distribution.
As a statistical problem-solving consultant and JMP trainer, he provides guidance on experimental planning and all aspects of technical data analysis. Since 2020, he has worked as a freelancer in a broader range of technical fields, expanding his activities to include statistical education and case consultations. His publications include "Introduction to Statistical Problem Solving with JMP" and "Getting Started with Data Science with JMP" (both published by Ohmsha).
Background: Worked in the semiconductor R&D division of Toshiba Corporation, where he was involved in developing measurement technology, mainly focusing on image processing. During his eight years working in the US, he realized that statistical processing is essential to effectively utilize measurement data, and after transferring to the Innovation Promotion Department, he has used that experience to focus on promoting data science within the company.
