We will present the results of our research into the risks and prevention of sports injuries, focusing on figure skating.
First, we used JMP cluster analysis and principal component analysis to understand various clustering methods that helped us choose the appropriate algorithm to analyze the injury information. We also used JMP's data visualization tools to generate many correlation and causal patterns to understand the injury mechanism. Based on these, we used the results from JMP to develop an appropriate injury prevention program for figure skaters.
Lily Sun is a sophomore at Stanford Online High School and has competed in three national championships in figure skating, winning a bronze medal.
She also hopes to use the statistical analysis in JMP to provide more information about preventative training techniques and injuries for other skaters and athletes.
Currently, she is involved in a wide range of activities, including:
- Digital Marketing Intern at "GenShe"
