In contrast to "Introduction to SQC," which received the lowest rating among all training sessions for new employees, we will introduce a case in which a "clay manufacturing exercise" was designed to enable new employees to learn a lot by putting into practice what they had learned in the classroom through simulated manufacturing.
1. Manufacturing (QMS perspective, process)
2. Organization and roles (people) necessary for manufacturing
3. Elements of Manufacturing (5ME)
4. Manufacturing Indicators (KPIs)
5. Variability and visualization (SQC)
6. Toyota's way of working (8-step problem-solving thinking)
7. Teamwork
8. Announcement
What students say
- "I was able to experience a manufacturing process close to the actual work, which helped me understand the role I need to play in this job."
- "Everyone was assigned roles, each person considered their own roles, and each person was able to complete the final product and identify problems. I felt that this was a meaningful lecture that allowed me to use SQC in my actual work."
- "It was interesting to think about the manufacturing process in terms of costs, such as production costs."
- "I was able to discuss, consult, and work together with my classmates, which really deepened my understanding."
- "Hearing feedback on each group's presentation allowed me to learn from an objective perspective."
There are also examples of teachers who attended this seminar customizing it for elementary school students, making the content useful for the idea that "making things is developing people."
