Since the end of last year, generative AI such as ChatGPT has become popular and is still a hot topic as an event that will greatly change our lives and work. Similarly, in data analysis, it is highly likely that it will be a paradigm shift that will greatly change the approach itself.
What made me feel this especially strongly was the appearance of ChatGPT's official plugin, "Advanced Data Analysis." With "Advanced Data Analysis," you can easily summarize, visualize, and perform statistical analysis of data by simply entering commands for what you want to analyze in natural sentences, lowering the barrier to analysis and greatly improving the efficiency of analysis work.
JMP has the feature of allowing analysts to conduct exploratory analysis while interacting with the data, but is this really a feature worth utilizing over generative AI? Are there any other advantages over generative AI? We will obtain the latest information on generative AI at the time of publication and express our own thoughts on these points without favoritism towards JMP.
