For a long time, design focused on static properties (design without input factors), but recently, the scope of design has expanded to include linear design with input factors (dynamic properties). Going forward, designing with nonlinear functions of order two or higher (advanced dynamic property design) will become crucial. However, designing nonlinear functions cannot be handled as an extension of designing linear functions. This is because it requires dealing with extrema (maximum and minimum values) that are not present in linear functions. The design method that solves this problem is called "super-design." This research focuses on the case of quadratic functions and introduces an educational method that makes super-design easy to learn using JMP. Experiments are conducted under a custom design, and optimization is easily performed even by beginners using satisfaction profiles. A user-friendly ball flight simulator is used as teaching material.
Joined Yokogawa Electric Corporation in 1984. Responsible for research and development related to silicon semiconductor device processes for in-house use. Subsequently, broadly responsible for research prototyping, line design for device manufacturing, and the introduction and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and factory facilities. Simultaneously, advanced production management technologies such as quality control, quality improvement, cost reduction, and delivery time reduction for products, processes, and equipment, particularly the application of statistical quality control (SQC). Also, spent a year seconded to a major semiconductor device manufacturer, utilizing management tools such as statistical analysis and Six Sigma in collaborative projects. Around this time, actively presented the results of these activities externally. Presented on Total Quality Management (TQM) at the International Conference on Quality (ICQ'14 Tokyo) held in September 2014. Subsequently, left Yokogawa Electric Corporation in March 2015. Enrolled in the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Management, Mejiro University in April of the same year. I gave presentations on SQC and optimization at the ANQ Congress 2015 Taipei in September 2015, the ANQ Congress 2016 Vladivostok in September 2016, and the SAS Discovery Summit in November of the same year.
