What inspired this Wish List Request?
value lables are automatically obscured by the data and are illegible
you can't see it it this figure but the Label (Label by Value) is behind the data points at the top of the bar.
this default behavior requires custom intervention on each graph, each time the a filter is applied, and each time a change is made to the graph.
This makes graph builder unusable for generating publication ready graphics.
Is this an external customer request?
This is based on two customer request from onsite meetings where the customers were asking how to make the value legible like it is in a competing scientific data visualization software package. They were using graph pad prism, something called Snap, as well as tableau and spotfire. I'm not sure which specific package they were using to make the figure they wanted.
