Please help us welcome Irene Ji (@Irene_Ji) to JMP!
Irene has just obtained her Ph.D. degree in statistics from Duke University. After spending a few years as an actuarial analyst at a reinsurance company, she realized she preferred a more research-focused role, which led her to pursue a Ph.D. degree at Duke.
Outside of work, Irene enjoys spending time at home or exploring nice restaurants with one or two friends. She occasionally engages in small crafts such as needle felting, cross stitching, and Legos. One fun fact about Irene is that while she doesn’t like outdoor activities, she found horse riding quite enjoyable, despite having tried it only once.
