Impact is a simplification of the user interface to Enhance the utility and understandability of the report components.
Anecdotally, on a recent customer visit, they showed me a problem data set they had been looking at for 3 months. When I had them run through the analysis, the problem was very clear, two large outliers in the model. It was super easy to see in the studentized residuals plot, but they had turned it off because they didn't know what it meant. In minutes we had the problem with the data set all cleared up and they were able to interpret the results of the experiment and make future predictions to a region of the design space they hadn't previously planed to explore.
When I present how to analyze DOE data, I have to explain what this plot means. The figure legend isn't part of the solution.
