What inspired this Wish List Request?
This was requested by Mr.Hashidzume from Tower Partners Semiconductor Co., Ltd. in Japan. He says that when the data table is at the bottom of the screen, clicking on the red triangle menu in the Columns Panel seems to frequently result in the mouse cursor being immediately aligned with the "Delete Columns", accidentally clicking on it, and the column disappearing.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
Rearrangement of the red triangel menu at the Columns Panel. Or ability to edit red triangle menu.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
The feature will avoid user from deleting column without intending to do so, resulting in further customer satisfaction of JMP software.
Is this an external customer request?
Yes. This is a request from Mr.Hashidzume from Tower Partners Semiconductor Co., Ltd..
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
Not sure.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Not sure.
I have had similar issues with the "Rows" red triangle (below the Columns Panel) and accidentally clicking "Data Filter", which is in the same position as "Delete Columns" in relation to the Columns Panel. It seems that a quick click of the red triangle can result in a double click of the mouse, which leads to this issue.
