We are just a few days away from being able to provide the JMP® 18 trial to our potential customers. The implementation teams thank you for your patience while this was being put together. It was a tremendous effort by multiple teams and much more involved than previous versions due to our new software authorization model.
The new trial process looks a little different than with JMP® 17.
The flow is as follows:
- The person completes the registration form on jmp.com.
- They receive a reply page, thanking them for their interest with information about the email confirmation they will receive.
- They will receive an email saying their trial is ready with a download button in the email.
- Once they click the download button, they will be directed to MyJMP to enter their email address.
- MyJMP will generate a verification code that is emailed to them.
- They will copy and paste the verification code into their browser and then able to install the trial.
FAQs
1. Is the trial available in all local languages?
All steps of the process are translated until the person reaches MyJMP. The MyJMP experience has not been fully translated yet but the digital operations team is working on it.
2. Where do these leads go and to what data do I have access?
Visitors who complete the trial form will be added as campaign members to the JMP 18 Trial Downloads campaign. This also automatically creates a Contact Software Authorization record associated with their Lead or Contact record. This is visible in the right column of the detail page for the Lead or Contact.
At the time of request, the JMP Trial Granted Date is stamped with the current date. Once the person installs and logs into JMP the first time there is automation that updates the JMP Trial Activated checkbox on the Lead or Contact and captures the date in the JMP Trial Activation Date field. The Days Since Activation date is also captured based on that date. Note that the Trial Serial Number and Operating System are no longer relevant for JMP 18 Trials, but we’ll keep them on the page for the time being since they could be useful in the short term. Tech Support may need to refer to these fields to handle support requests.
Since the JMP Trial Activated? and Days since Activation fields are the same as used in previous versions of the trial, there should not be much to do to use these fields in any marketing or email automation that you might have running.
3. What if someone has already requested a trial?
If an email address is already associated with a campaign member in the JMP 18 Trial Downloads campaign, the requestor will receive an email with the subject line “JMP trial download is unavailable”. Please test this by requesting the trial multiple times using the same email address.
A huge thank you to everyone who lost sleep, got more grey hair, and/or earned more worry lines over this thing. What a relief to have this behind us and to be able to show the world how amazing JMP 18 is!
Thanks for those updates. Will this also enable us to provide trials for JMP Pro and JMP Clinical or is this announcement limited to JMP standard?
