JMP internships allow students the ability to explore a possible future career, network with professionals in the field, and gain valuable experience they wouldn't get in the classroom. Interns are a valuable resource to JMP as well, helping us invest in our future success by discovering new talent and potential leaders.
The 'Meet the Interns' series display features these bright individuals – their work, their hobbies, and more!
Reetika Sarkar
Reetika Sarkar is a Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina Greensboro studying Computational Mathematics. She is a Clinical Graduate Intern on the JMP Clinical team.
“Reetika is working on a project to help our customers validate JMP Clinical by double programming reports,” Geoffrey Mann, Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics R&D explains. “Customers will be able to compare our report results from her independent programming of the same report. She is also making those available to our Unit Testing framework for the product, a double whammy of production!” He explains how Reetika is quickly learning JSL and JMP. She will program 5-10 reports at the pace she is working, which is a huge help to her team.

Reetika is currently learning Spanish but is also fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali. She is excited to expand her language learning even further, with JSL. She is also excited to meet, brainstorm, and work with the brilliant minds at JMP. Of all the places she’s visited, her two favorites have been Amsterdam and the Grand Canyon.
Victoria Uchman
Victoria Uchman is a double major in Statistics and Economics with a minor in Data Science at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She is on the East Region Pre-Sales team working with Mike Anderson and Olivia Lippincott as a Pre-Sales intern.
Mary Loveless, Senior Manager of Pre-Sales System Engineers expressed her excitement and gratitude for Victoria joining the team. “This summer, Victoria is developing a demo for customer-facing presentations that utilize our open-source capabilities and add-ins,” she explains. “She is using Python to connect to and pull Federal Census data sources, transferring those data sets into JMP, and then exploring them using our Torch Add-in. The deliverables are one or more presentations to live in the Demo Starter for use by technical staff to demonstrate these capabilities.”
Victoria rock climbing with her friend.
Victoria enjoys hiking, especially in the Tatra Mountain range in Poland/Slovakia. She also enjoys puzzles, riddles, and escape rooms. She is eager to dive into deep learning and Torch products and is looking forward to seeing all that JMP 18 has to offer.
Will Morgan
Will Morgan is a Computer Science major at North Carolina State University. He is a Development Intern on the R&D Hosting, Interfaces, and Live team.
“Will is working on a JMP data connector to Amazon S3. S3 is essentially Cloud-based file storage, and our users have a need to be able to download data from S3 for analysis,” says Brian Corcoran, Senior Director of R&D. “Several customers at the most recent JMP Discovery conference in Manchester requested this feature, one example being Pirelli.”

Will is excited to learn more about software development and chose this internship because he wants to create software that makes a difference in people’s lives. Will is the youngest of seven siblings! If he were to have an autobiography, it would be simply titled “A Book About Will Morgan”.
