JMP internships allow students the ability to explore a possible future career, network with professionals in the field, and gain valuable experience they wouldn't get in the classroom. Interns are a valuable resource to JMP as well, helping us invest in our future success by discovering new talent and potential leaders.
The 'Meet the Interns' series display features these bright individuals – their work, their hobbies, and more!
Jennifer Nwako
Jennifer Nwako (@jennifernwako3) is a Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill studying Cell Biology and Physiology. She is on the R&D Life Sciences team as a Genomics Graduate Intern.
"Jennifer will expend unit test for JMP Clinical, test JMP Clinical function, and use JMP to analyze her scientific data," says Wenjun Bao, Director of Advanced Analytics R&D. She is working on unit testing for JMP Clinical 19. She compares sample clinical data between the older version and the newer version of JMP to ensure the results match. She is also using JMP Clinical on her own lipidomic mass spectrometry research data to generate graphs for her research and to help suggest any updates or add-ons that might be useful for JMP Clinical 19.

Jennifer finds her passion in disease-based research to find meaningful data for patients. She chose JMP to build her skills in working with large clinical data sets while also learning how to improve and test new technology. She loves to upcycle and make new clothes. Having learned how to sew in high school, she enjoys expressing her creativity and sustainability through fashion. If she could splurge on one item at no cost, she would get a three-month vacation in Japan.
Donny Kopp
Donny Kopp (@DonnyKopp) is a Graduate student studying Science in Business Analytics while attending Villanova University. He is a Western Region Pre-Sales Intern on the Pre-Sales team. He is currently located in Provo, Utah.
Chuck Boiler, Senior Manager of Pre-Sales Support explains Donny’s two main projects: Donny will work with the SEs Mark Zwald (@mzwald) and Kemal Oflus (@kemal_oflus). His project with Senior Systems Engineer Mark Zwald includes modifying demos to the Training Starter that focus on industries such as Chemical, Consumer Products, Pharmaceutical, and Semiconductor. The goal is to create these demos in specific areas where JMP is used. They would also like to add more examples than an SE could use for demos with clients.
His second project with Principal Systems Engineer Kemal Oflus centers around authoring entry into the Technical Reference Library on digital imaging slides doctors use in diagnostic testing. The goal of this project is to show how effectively these cells can be detected in JMP. They hope this entry can be used in future demos for clients.

Donny is excited to learn how to use and teach JMP, and learn even more about statistical software and analytics. He worked at a mortuary at the age of 12. When asked if Donny could splurge on any item at no cost, he said he would get a Lear Jet. If he had an autobiography, the title would be “What Just Happened?”.
Adnane El Hachami
Adnane El Hachami (@Adnane) is a Computer Science major at North Carolina State University. He is a Test Engineering Intern on the R&D DevOps team in the Testing Group.
“Adnane has already exceeded expectations on his first project to collect all the URLs referenced in our sample tables and check if they are still valid and is already helping with some bug and small feature verifications in JMP 19,” says Audrey Shull, Director of JMP Development Testing and Nick Holmes, Test Engineer. “The next big project will be working with our current suite of tests for the Platform Preset functionality and enhancing them to be able to run in non-English languages. He’ll be helping add JSL unit tests and general testing coverage of the platform presets across all of JMP’s platforms. We’re also hoping he can help with new feature testing for Notebooks in JMP as the summer progresses.”

When Adnane was a child, he wanted to be a scientist or engineer. This aligns with his practical and minimal personality, opting to choose a bed where he can sleep well at night when asked what item he would splurge on at no cost. With this mattress, he could get the best quality sleep leading to a more productive day. Adnane’s favorite place that he has visited was Essaouira, where he went surfing for the first time.
It's great getting to know everyone a little bit more, and i love the pictures!
