Augmenting Mixture designs should respect Mixture Sum property even without Design Role

Augment design on Mixture Design with custom Mixture Sum - would be nice if Augment knew about this by reading the Mixture Column Properties (where mixture sum and pseudo-component bounds are set)… Can get around this by redefining the mixture sum in Augment, but still…

 

The full solution is to ensure the Design Role property is present in the data table, not just the Mixture property…

Still, sometimes properties get lost for whatever reason. Would be nice to have a system in which a user who is adding a Mixture property is notified that they also need the Design Role, and if a user tries to remove a Design Role that JMP recommends also deleting the Mixture property. Essentially, if the properties are needed in tandem, JMP should force them to exist in tandem.

Augment Design in JMP 14 does not require the Design Role property and recognizes mixture factors with only the Mixture column property.
