collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"New features or bug fixes that help one user in one area might also help other users in the same area.
So I thought about creating a list of feature requests with a focus on Semiconductor.
Let's join forces to get them implemented as soon as possible : )
the idea:
- a link - and maybe a short motivation here
- to keep the list "slim", if you have any comments, please follow the link and comment in the original post
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"JSL bit operations
- Native function for bit operations like XOR, shift bits, split bits, get bit, set bit.
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Add normalization and robust statistical functions (and matrix functions)
+ harmonize (!) the aggregation functions which are available at different places in JMP:
- Tables/Summary
- Graph Builder
- JSL aggregation functions (Col ...)
- header statistics (the new benchmark : )
:)e.g. new JSL function: Col N Categories
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Option: Independent Color Settings for Pages (and Wrap)
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor":folded_hands: Column Property: Inclusive Values
the topic was dicussed during the Semiconductor Lunch @ Discovery-Summit Europe 2024
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Line annotation: option to generate linecut plot

Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Allow secondary or alternate column names
import a column measurement16443_GdfgDFGDD_Vf_XXX_A16 - and plot it as Vf(2mA)
... with the possibility to get it updated by from a file with column name measurement16443_GdfgDFGDD_Vf_XXX_A16
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Map Shapes facilitate the generation of wafermaps.
But there are also some disadvantages: complicated to use, no possibility to flip a wafer (reverse one axis, but not the other one), one has to share 3 files instead of one ...
Heatmaps can be used as an alternative - but they have their own drawback:
Heatmap - option: fixed Tick spacing (aggregation area)
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Have data filter selections not clear when you need to enter a new filtering item
If you want to select 3 lots, you found a first lot, use the filter to find the second lot
... and then, suddenly the first lot is not selected anymore. Argh!
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"JSL bit operations
- Native function for bit operations like XOR, shift bits, split bits, get bit, set bit.
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Add new switcher called Role Switcher
Column Quick Swapper: toggle between current OR voltage OR current+voltage on the Y axis
... instead of replacing current in all roles by voltage (Column Switcher)
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Meaningful plots - despite the 1 broken devices with 5V (compliance) and 0A current:
Graph Builder Preferences: Middle 90% (or 99%)
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"fast color scale adjustment via right click context menu
... like in many competitor programs.
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Count:
"how many wafers" [in this list of chips]
"how many batches" [in this list of wafers]
new JSL function: Col N Categories
related wish:
Add dense ranking to Ranking Tie and Col Rank functions
alternative: a completely new world of possibilities
Option or function to evaluate a custom column formula at once, or cache values between rows
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"how often do you ask per day: is in spec(value)
surprising that there is no official way yet to ask JMP ...
please support :folded_hands: is in spec (value) with a Kudo
... and add your comments how to further enrich the functionality.
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"frustrated by I-V curves which look like this one?

vote here: Graph Builder: Line - possibility to add breaks
Re: collection of wishes with focus on "Semiconductor"Dif() and Lag() formula functions by column group (byVar argument)
