JMP internships allow students the ability to explore a possible future career, network with professionals in the field, and gain valuable experience they wouldn't get in the classroom. Interns are a valuable resource to JMP as well, helping us invest in our future success by discovering new talent and potential leaders.
The 'Meet the Interns' series display features these bright individuals – their work, their hobbies, and more!
Keegan Walker
Keegan Walker is a Computer Information Systems major and Cybersecurity minor at Appalachian State University. Located in Hillsborough, he is a Digital Operations Intern on JMP’s Digital Operations team.
“Keegan will be working with all groups in Digital Operations learning about our whole tech stack from the website, to the store, Salesforce, NetSuite, and how everything ties together to run our business,” says Candice Gervase, Salesforce Team Manager. “He will also work on various Salesforce projects including reports, dashboards, basic IT admin skills, and even working some cases and Jira stories as well as helping with key cyber security projects.” She expressed her excitement and gratitude for Keegan as an addition to their team.

When Keegan was a child, he wanted to become a lawyer. Now, with the prospect of learning new skills through JMP, he looks forward to learning everything he can about IT. He is excited to learn about the culture of JMP and meet as many people as possible. Keegan is also an Eagle Scout!
John Miller
John Miller is a Ph.D. student studying Statistics at Duke University. He is on the R&D team focusing on DOE as a Research Statistician Software Developer Intern.
“John will be working on developing a new class of experimental designs tailored for use as initial designs in Bayesian optimization,” Ryan Lekivetz, Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics R&D explains. “As part of this, he is also exploring the impact of the initial design when Bayesian optimization is intended to be employed with a fixed budget, as many of our users have budgetary constraints when using sequential design approaches.”

John found his internship at JMP through former intern, now full-time employee Irene Ji, a fellow Ph.D. student at Duke! He is not only passionate about statistics but also jazz music. If he was able to splurge on one item at no cost, he would get a vintage silver-plated Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone. Along with Keegan, John is an Eagle Scout!
Natalie Neal
Natalie Neal is a Textile Engineering major at North Carolina State University. She is a Central-Region Pre-Sales Intern on the JMP Central Region’s team.
“This summer, Natalie will craft a sales demo demonstrating how the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry can leverage JMP to extract valuable insights from their product review data,” Pre-Sales Support Manager, Nick Shelton says. “The demo will encompass diverse capabilities such as data preparation, visual exploration, and advanced modeling. With JMP 18's new tools and Natalie's help, we'll further showcase JMP's strength for CPG prospects.” He is looking forward to Natalie’s contributions.

Natalie used JMP in her Six Sigma class and became enamored with the software. Although she currently resides in Raleigh, she has lived in many places such as Hawaii, Germany, New Mexico, and Brussels. She loves running, and is working on a text mining project in JMP to determine the best pair of shoes referencing customer reviews. Good shoes are crucial to running, so Natalie is excited to merge her interests into her project.
Warm welcome to you all! Exciting to see the great work you will focus on this summer.
