Most research on fires focuses on individual elements of fire activities and studies their characteristics in detail. Meanwhile, actual fire and firefighting activity reports, such as fire cause, fire outbreak time, number of pumps, and extinguishing time, are organized as fire statistics, which provide an overview of the entire process of fires and firefighting activities. Therefore, by analyzing fire report data, it is possible to understand the relational structure of the entire process of fires and firefighting activities from outbreak to extinguishing, and to find factors that affect fire outbreak and extinguishing time.
Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the fire report data from 2011 to 2015 using structural equation modeling in JMP to model the relationships between each element of fire and firefighting activities. As a result, we were able to identify latent variables to elucidate the relational structure of the entire process of fire and firefighting activities.
