Unit PM23 of Hansol Paper's Janghangjang Plant is a facility that produces thermal paper, and has achieved Global No. 1 productivity in thermal paper by utilizing process operation information and JMP Tool. In order to improve productivity, it was necessary to increase facility speed, and the bottleneck of increasing facility speed was vacuum capacity. Although it was thought to be insufficient, vacuum capacity was reached. The need for increased investment was not convincingly demonstrated. However, using process operation information and JMP Tool, the vacuum capacity for increasing the speed of PM23 unit was determined before investment. The task is to discover business insight by verifying the feasibility of the increased investment (Verification), analyzing the results of the increase after completing the investment, and predicting the future (Prediction). Unit PM23 increased its speed by 20m/min through this project in 2020, achieving Global No. 1 productivity, and utilizing the equipment invested at this time, the current design Max. We are challenging ourselves to achieve speed.
