JMP Live and AspenTech REST API interface?

Hi,

we have a JMP Live customer who wants to connect JMP Live to one of their manufacturing databases.

Does anybody have experience in connecting JMP Live with AspenTech via the REST API interface?

It sounds like it should be possible, but I have no experience and would be thankful for any tips, hints (and maybe warnings )

Hi Florian,

there is not a big difference between connecting to any data source from either JMP or JMP Live. if you can do it with JMP you can also do with JMP Live.

So, if they can connect to AspenTech's API from JMP, they should be able to use the same JSL to connect from JMP Live.

A few things to keep in mind:

Any drivers used to connect to a data sources from a PC needs to be installed on the JMP Live server (not applicable for REST calls).
The JMP Live server needs to have access to the data source.
Different credentials might be necessary for the connection.
