Least squares adjustment interpretation
Good morning,
Could you tell me how to interpret the least squares results obtained in your dataset in the JMP "Policity" Help tool for Analysis\Linear Model.
Is it possible to put qualitative variables in Y, if so how can we also interpret them?
Thanking you in advance,
Best regards,

Welcome to the community !
Do you have a particular aspect that you are looking to better understand in reporting linear model results?
Regarding your question, you can have qualitative variables in X and Y:
- If your Y response is continuous numeric, your model will be a linear model: you model the continuous numeric response values based on your X's.
- If your Y answer is categorical (or discrete numerical), your model will be a logistic model: you model the probabilities of obtaining each category/level/class according to your X's.
Hoping that this first answer can help you,
