Welcome to the JMP Development Update for April 12, 2024!
JMP 18.1 Feature Freeze is coming up at the end of the day next Friday, April 19. If you have marked a new feature item fixed at 18.1, please evaluate its impact on the JMP 18.1 New Features page in Confluence. And if you are finalizing a feature for 18.1 this week, please copy the template table in that page and make a new section header for your feature. This is very helpful to downstream teams planning their own 18.1 work.
We are also fast approaching the Code Freeze date for JMP 18.0.1, our first planned “dot-dot” release. While focused on third party library updates to resolve security issues, this release will also include a few select fixes and other important updates. Items resolved in 18.0.1 can be identified in Jira with a Fix Version of 18.0.1. All non-security fixes must be approved for inclusion in 18.0.1. Please send a note to the JMP Approvers list with details if you are seeking approval to push a non-security code change to 18.0.1.
Thanks to Mia Stephens for the reminder that the deadline for JMP Discovery Summit US paper submissions is April 23 and JMP R&D staff are invited to submit abstracts. Discovery US will be held in Cary Oct 21-24. In the meantime, please do register here if you’re interested in attending JMP Discovery Europe Online. This online portion of the event follows a very successful in-person Discovery conference in Manchester last month.
