Three drivers for this after speaking with @Ryan_Gilmore. @rossmetusalem perhaps we can discuss for Academic and @KirstenCrannell for Education?
- I noticed that google searches find listings of Past Live Events Registration pages that I post in Community Live Events. If someone registeres, Mastering, thanks to Cyrionna, Hub Spot will tell registrants the session is over, but that is not enough.
- If I search for Past Events, I will find old ones listed.
- For Mastering JMP, I still have no way to easily tieive Events to Videos like I can from Application Areas Topics pages on jmp.com. And, these Topics pages on jmp.com will likely not be replicated in the new AEM. For example:
So, for Mastering JMP, I decided to get rid of live webinar Past Registrations and link them to videos (when available) from the live webinars. This should give users a better experience, not pages not found, etc. Here is how:
- Locate Live Event Past Registration Page URL and Video URL. In this case I used labels PAST and MASTERING JMP. Note that the oldest are listed first.
- From Live Event Past, Edit the Registration Page using OPTIONS>ARCHIVE
- Type in URL for Video, then click ARCHIVE
- The Registration page link now redirects to the video page link. The Registration Page link is no longer listed as a PAST EVENT in the Community.
