It’s nearly official – JMP 18 is here, delivering enhanced features across our suite of products.
"We are excited to get JMP, JMP Pro, JMP Clinical, and JMP Live out to our users and customers," Product Management Director Dan Valente said. "All JMP releases are a result of listening to the voice of the customer and understanding the challenges they face in using analytics to solve problems. JMP 18 is no exception – we can’t wait to get even more feedback once it gets adopted broadly in the market."
How will customers get JMP 18?
In the past customers have had to request a new release of JMP and wait to receive an email with instructions for downloading. No longer!
We will make JMP 18 available for customers automatically in My JMP. When it is available to them we will notify administrators that they can come download JMP 18 and begin to authorize users.
When will customers have access?
As everyone knows, we currently have many different ways customers transact with us. Customers in each group will get access to JMP 18 in a phased approach.
By the end of this week (hopefully by the end of day 19Mar2024 in Cary) the following groups of customers will have access to JMP 18:
- Current customers still on a SAS contract.
- Current customers who have executed a JMP UTOF through the CPQ process (this includes customers who have transitioned from a SAS contract or executed a mid-term upgrade).
By the end of next week, the following customers will have access to JMP 18:
- Current customers on a subscription through the JMP Store.
By the end of next week, JMP 18 will be the shipping version for:
- New customers executing a JMP UTOF.
- New customers subscribing through the JMP Store.
Finally, during the first week of April, the JMP Trial will be converted to offering JMP 18.
When will customers be notified?
As we do with every release we notify customers in a phased approach to avoid overloading systems.
We will send three waves of notifications for existing customers next week and send a wave each week. Note that the software (and the ability to manage authorizations) will be available for customers even before they are notified so if you have an customer who is eager to get the software they can.
"User authorization in JMP 18 will make dealing with JMP licenses so much easier," JMP User Enablement Director Jeff Perkinson "@Jeff_Perkinson) said. "As I said at Discovery in Manchester, JMP will just work."
Perkinson said there are many moving parts both in the transition from SAS to JMP and the transition to user authorization in JMP 18. "None of this can happen without the digital operations team and our partners at Cloud Giants," he said. "Those two groups deserve kudos for all the hard work."

@AllisonHines Thank you for this information! I know the English version of JMP 18 trial is set for the first week in April Can you confirm if our non-English sites will have the new trial available at the same time or will there be a lag? (Asking for a friend)

I would like to know the contents of the notification message which will be sent to our customers and let them know that JMP 18 is ready because I am curious if it includes the detailed instructions for getting JMP 18 software. Could you give the one to me ? And will it be all English or translated to some other languages ?

@SophiaShi2024 - version 18 release of JMP products are available now to all employees with jmp.com email addresses via my.jmp.com. In the very near future, version 18 of JMP products will be available to those with sas.com email addresses.
Hello, Talking to some prospects about ordering through the online Store and curious if we are providing JMP 18 via that avenue yet (since it affects how they manage the licenses). Thank you! Tim
How do public sector customers that procured licenses via EIS acquire JMP licenses? It is unclear to me how EIS customers receive their license files (I only have a few public sector customers)
