The EMEA Sales team met recently for their H1 kickoff Feb. 6-8 in Heidelberg, Germany. Vice President of EMEA Sales and Marketing Todd Hoffman welcomed the group and analogized the EMEA Sales team to an American football team: "There are 11 players on the field," Hoffman said. "Even though you see the one person who makes the touchdown, everyone played their part. And each one has to do their job for the team to succeed."
The team participated in meetings and workshops, helping them to gain a deeper understanding of JMP customers' requirements. "It's always a great pleasure to meet all my colleagues in person and exchange ideas with them," Inside Sales Account Representative Manuela Merkhofer said.

EMEA also welcomed Michael Scruggs, the new Senior Vice President of Sales. "It was great having the opportunity to meet him in person, and to welcome him into the JMP EMEA family," Merkhofer said.
At the end of the meetings, Scruggs thanked the team for welcoming him and sharing their plans with him. "I really enjoyed the presentations and the opportunity to spend time together. It feels like a family here,” he said. "The teamwork... it’s palpable.”
Scruggs closed with the request for everyone to stay focused on their goals. "There will be some distractions this year," he said. "Things that are being worked through, but don’t let them take you off course."
Like Scruggs, Hoffman also emphasized the need to stay focused on your role. "When you feel yourself getting distracted from what you know you need to do to succeed, move away from the distractions and find your focus," Hoffman said.
