Last week, we celebrated 2024 with JMP Statistical Discovery's global kickoff, smaller regional and divisional kickoffs, and an in-person JMP Academy! No matter where we were around the globe, we felt the excitement for 2024!
Over two days, we looked back on the diligent work and triumphs of 2023, and how that hard work will translate into success for 2024.
2024 JMP Statistical Discovery Kickoff, Day 1
JMP Founder and Chair John Sall welcomed everyone to Kickoff with a few highlights from 2023. "We had a good business year," Sall said. "We welcomed many new people including our New Senior VP of Sales Michael Scruggs. All buildings are still fairly empty, but our business infrastructure continues to grow."
Sall also shared what he's looking forward to in 2024. "JMP 18 is coming in spring 2024," he said. "New releases are a good excuse to renew contact with prospects. With JMP18 we’ll have user email addresses of users making communication with users better." He's also excited about MyJMP, our new site for downloading JMP;
Discovery Summit Europe
in March; and now that our new pricing structure has been in place all year, the ability to compare performance year over year.

Next, JMP CEO Jon Weisz dove deeper into all that JMP accomplished in 2023. "After building the infrastructure for a new company, we are now moving in!" Weisz said we are now collecting payments, but the big job now is moving legacy payments and contracts over to JMP systems.
Weisz also shared that in 2023 we grew revenue by 15.8% USD and maintained a strong return for SAS with a 25% margin, all while standing up JMP as a business, establishing JMP’s ability to sell, service, and fulfill customers. "Everyone should be really proud of that," he said. "I appreciate everybody's work in not only driving revenue but also watching costs."

Michael Scruggs, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, took the stage to share our 2023 performance details and notable wins. "We had many accomplishments in 2023, and it's a strong outlook for 2024," he said.

Scruggs shared the Sales organization's commitment to utilizing Legal resources efficiently. "Sales has a responsibility to drive things to the store, not negotiate for less than $100,000, so we can spend more time on important things like getting in front of the customer and driving the conversation," Scruggs said.

Scruggs then hosted a discussion on customer success with John Sall, Director of User Enablement Jeff Perkinson, Product Management Director Dan Valente, and Senior Marketing Manager Holly Connors.
