What inspired this Wish List Request?
I'm putting together a demo on DOE Constraints for a customer. I can build a data table with points that I can graph in GraphBuilder, to show the experimental design layout. It would be nice if (for example) I want to cut off a corner of the design space with a straight line. Rather than:
- figure out where the points should be
- enter them into a data table
- figure out the slope/intercept
- put these params into Custom Constraints
It would be convenient to just bring up a 2D pic of the design space and allow user to click on the pic to describe points on the constraint lines. JMP would automatically fill in the Constraint parameters.
For that matter, GraphBuilder could have a function that allows "click to add points". Points could either be "virtual" points or added directly to data table.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
See above for description. I don't have any mock-ups. I suppose I could write an addin at some point to do these functions.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
Quicker/easier to describe custom constraints.
