What inspired this Wish List Request?
JMP 17.2 and earlier. Confusion between likelihood & wald CI estimates:
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
1) in Reliability & Survival (R&S) and possibly other applications, when the user requests Likelihood confidence intervals, JMP should report likelihood CIs (not Wald CIs) or message that likelihood CIs are unavailable in each case. Preferably, make likelihood CIs available throughout.
2) capability for strength-stress inference for normal & non-normal (parametric) distribution types. This involves numerical integration of the overlap region.
3) make more of the R&S and Quality engineering applications available in regular JMP, specifically fault tree analysis and reliability block diagrams.

This will improve the competitiveness and usefulness of JMP relative to the Minitab and Reliasoft products.
