Continuous improvement is an ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes. The process of evaluating how well your metrics meet customer requirements can be difficult, cumbersome, or time-consuming, depending on the statistical tool used for the evaluation.
Imagine you have dozens or hundreds of measurements that need to be evaluated regularly. However, you also have other responsibilities and don't have the time or days to evaluate each measurement individually. The process screening platform at JMP was designed with you in mind, and it will save you time and money by allowing you to quickly and visually evaluate all your measurements.
Below, you can see the process screening platform in JMP, which offers a simple interface where you can enter your measurements with just one click. In this example, 128 metrics are evaluated, each against its corresponding specification limits.

The default results for each variable are sorted by the stability index, which measures process stability. This is because, to evaluate capability indices, the data must come from a stable process. You also have the option to sort the results by capability indices such as Cpk or Ppk.

One of the great benefits that JMP offers is that once you've run your analysis, you can easily add other elements to the results, giving you the flexibility you need to see the information you require. For example, you can add the Cp capability index to the table shown above. Or you can add other graphs to efficiently evaluate your measurements visually, such as the two graphs shown below.

The goal chart is useful for quickly seeing how well variables conform to specification limits. The triangle at the bottom represents your target Ppk; the slider to the right allows you to interactively change your target Ppk. The green, yellow, and red areas represent how well your variables conform to the selected Ppk. You can also get more details about each variable interactively on the chart, and you can anchor to the details as shown in the control chart for the IVP2 variable. For more information about the goal chart, please see this page .

The process performance chart is a four-zone graph that displays the capability of each process against its stability. The legend on the right provides easy and effective interpretation. And like all charts in JMP, this one also offers interactivity, allowing you to obtain more details about each variable. More details about the process performance chart are available on this page .
