Is it possible to show us statistics about what is being asked?@Ryan_Gilmore
Is it possible to collect (or maybe you already have) and share some sort of statistics about the questions which are being asked? I would guess that most common questions are related to (not in specific order):
- Scripting
- DoE
- Visualization
- Using JMP
I think some sort of data could be created by web scraping the title and opening post (also include tags, but I wouldn't really trust those), but you most likely have already better tools for analysis like this.
Re: Is it possible to show us statistics about what is being asked?Excellent question @jthi !
I wanted to do the analysis on my profile, by using the possibility to download "My Community Content" (in "My Settings", "Personal Information"), and doing a text analysis to see the main themes, questions, answers ...
It would be highly valuable to do it on a global scale and see the trends (new questions on Python, Machine Learning, ...) to better answer new needs from users, and for JMP to better know what are the main area of interests for webinars, new developments, etc...
Re: Is it possible to show us statistics about what is being asked?I think we (at least not me) have access to that

also if it is supposed to be visible in community, it seems to be just white box with black borders

Re: Is it possible to show us statistics about what is being asked?Hi,
We have been standardizing on the JMP Analytic Capabilities for categorizing the content within the Community. There are additional categories within a set taxonomy that we will start including in the near future. Using this taxonomy, we have started to compare the content JMP provides vs. Technical Support case vs. Discussion topics, etc.
I uploaded a graph to JMP Public showing the published Discussion topics and labels. Automation and Scripting is easily the most asked category.

I hope this helps.
Re: Is it possible to show us statistics about what is being asked?Sorry about that. Seems the permissions changed during an upgrade. I think I've granted access to Jarmo, Victor, and Isaac but did not see accounts for anyone else.
I updated my previous post with an image of the graph and attached the data table used to generate it.
Re: Is it possible to show us statistics about what is being asked?Got access and it was also being pulled to JMP community (with my just changed dark theme)

(Might be a good idea to some how make it show some sort of "no access" or "cannot load from JMP Public/live" message instead of just the white box).
Are we going to get access/tools to easily add those categories? Currently I think we would have to edit the posts to modify the different labels and they aren't easily visible from the posts themself.
Re: Is it possible to show us statistics about what is being asked? We could make the labels visible but there are no tools available other than editing. Did you have something in mind?
Re: Is it possible to show us statistics about what is being asked?I can show what I have in my mind (but I'm not GUI or UX designer) (using 1920x1080 resolution for this even though generally I do use larger resolution).
Currently we have basically something like this:

I would like to have something like this WITHOUT having to press Edit to update labels:

So I could immediately see current products and labels (not sure if products are even needed). And then with some sort of color usage I would want to see current labels, labels I want to disable, labels I want to add and then Update button.
Similar layout would work just for showing the labels within the post. And when looking at the posts we have in community, I would like to see all labels with something like this

And if labels are accurate / well used, I would like to be able to press those to limit my view (perform search?) based on those. So if I'm interested in seeing topics related to Content Organization, I could just click that and I would only see posts which have that.
