Autorización de usuario en JMP 18

licencias JMP

JMP tiene licencia por usuario designado. Es decir, nuestros contratos permiten que personas determinadas utilicen JMP. No otorgamos licencia de JMP para su uso en una máquina individual, lo que permitiría que cualquier persona con acceso a esa máquina use JMP.

Hasta JMP 18, nuestros esquemas de licencias de software no respaldaban esta distinción. El uso de archivos de licencia (JMP.PER/SID) o números de serie aseguró que, como mínimo, JMP tenga licencia, pero no limitó el uso únicamente a usuarios autorizados.

Además, tener múltiples métodos de licencia de software (archivos de licencia/números de serie) significaba que teníamos diferentes imágenes ejecutables para cada uno. Esa situación causaba una gran confusión si un usuario esperaba usar un archivo .PER y tenía instalada la versión de activación.

A partir de JMP 18, tendremos un esquema de autorización de usuario que respaldará nuestra licencia contractual y brindará una imagen ejecutable por producto que se podrá utilizar independientemente de la transacción comercial que le dio acceso al usuario a JMP. Entonces, ya sea una licencia anual, suscripción/tienda, prueba o estudiante, todos tendrán el mismo mecanismo para autorizar a los usuarios, lo que dará como resultado una experiencia para todos los usuarios.

Cuando se inicia JMP 18, se solicitará a los usuarios que inicien sesión con su ID de Mi JMP. Mi JMP buscará si ese usuario está autorizado a usar JMP, cuál es la fecha de vencimiento y luego se iniciará.

Según este nuevo protocolo, todos los métodos de transacción se conectarán a Salesforce para almacenar los detalles de la licencia y los usuarios autorizados a usar JMP bajo esas licencias.

Los administradores de software tanto para suscripción como para licencias anuales utilizarán My JMP para otorgar (o eliminar) autorizaciones a personas, utilizando su dirección de correo electrónico como identificador.

Gracias por las preguntas.

Cuando se configura un contrato en Salesforce, se identificará un administrador de software. Cuando ese administrador inicie sesión en My JMP para agregar las direcciones de correo electrónico de los usuarios autorizados, esos usuarios se asociarán con ese contrato.
No estoy seguro de lo que quiere decir con "usuario independiente", pero cada usuario de JMP será autorizado a través de My JMP e iniciará sesión en My JMP cuando inicie el software por primera vez. Esto sucederá a través del software. No necesitarán iniciar un navegador web ni hacer nada antes de iniciar JMP.
Si un sitio tiene licencia para 10 usuarios, tendrán 10 espacios para colocar direcciones de correo electrónico autorizadas. Sólo esos usuarios estarán autorizados a utilizar JMP. En su escenario, A11 no estará asociado con ese contrato y no estará autorizado a utilizar JMP. Pueden iniciar una prueba de 30 días y los trataremos como una pista a la que se le dará un seguimiento adecuado.

Junto con la promoción de los productos de la serie JMP18 en China, con respecto al nuevo mecanismo de autorización de JMP18, algunas actualizaciones previstas y nuevos clientes han solicitado que sea inconveniente exponer las direcciones de correo electrónico de usuarios específicos debido a diversas preocupaciones de privacidad.

Por lo que yo sé,

Para los usuarios del nivel ELA, podemos autorizarlos de forma masiva por "dominio de correo electrónico" sin detalles específicos.
Pero para otros usuarios, ¿tenemos otras opciones o soluciones alternativas?

Hola @Jeff_Perkinson : tengo un usuario que utilizó un correo electrónico personal para la prueba de 30 días, que actualmente está en curso. Acaba de comprar una licencia completa a través de la tienda utilizando su dirección de correo electrónico corporativa. ¿Hay alguna forma de forzar un registro estricto para poder cambiar de la prueba a la licencia completa? Sé que las dos versiones son funcionalmente equivalentes, pero le preocupa (y creo que es comprensible) que su compra no se refleje en lo que ve cuando inicia JMP.

Presentamos y demostramos la activación fuera de línea del Código de solicitud <-> Código de respuesta a un cliente de gran volumen en la Gran China que planeaba actualizar sus productos a JMP18, pero debido a los controles de TI internos, la mayoría de los usuarios de JMP18 no pudieron conectarse a la extranet.

Al cliente le preocupa el ciclo de verificación completa después de que se haya implementado formalmente la activación fuera de línea, ya que es un proceso engorroso si es demasiado frecuente.

¿Tenemos esta información para compartir con nuestros clientes o la conocemos internamente primero?

No compartimos detalles sobre la frecuencia con la que ocurre.

La mejor manera de responder a estas inquietudes es que el proceso de reautorización se realizará con la frecuencia suficiente para garantizar que la licencia esté actualizada, pero no con tanta frecuencia como para que resulte disruptivo. Pídales que se comuniquen con el soporte técnico si descubren que está causando problemas.

@Ryan_Gilmore Creo que sería útil proporcionar a los clientes una "guía de implementación" general. Antes, nosotros (el departamento de ventas) teníamos hojas de trucos/mejores prácticas, etc. que solíamos utilizar. @Juliette_Plager Corrígeme si me equivoco.

Hola @Elodie_Delclaux : sí, se puede autorizar la ejecución de JMP en una máquina que no esté conectada a Internet.

Cuando se inicia JMP en una máquina que no puede acceder a jmp.com para autorizarlo, presentará un código de solicitud con instrucciones para usar un dispositivo que pueda acceder a Internet para ingresar ese código de solicitud y obtener un código de respuesta para colocar en JMP para autorizarlo.

Es fácil.

@mattboron El usuario puede obtener el instalador desde My JMP. La forma en que se implementa el software depende de la empresa. Cuando un administrador otorga autorización a un usuario, se le envía un correo electrónico para informarle que ha sido autorizado.

@TonyCesano (1) Se requerirá una dirección de correo electrónico para usar JMP 18. (2) Se permitirá que un usuario use JMP en 3 computadoras. Si el usuario intenta usar JMP en una cuarta computadora, se le quitará la autorización en la computadora que haya usado menos recientemente.

@nvacca (1)/(2) @CandiceGervase o @JonesieAtJMP podrían hablar mejor sobre los informes. (3) Un usuario que no esté autorizado no podrá usar JMP. Si se ha alcanzado la cuota de usuarios, el administrador deberá desautorizar a otro usuario antes de permitirle el acceso al nuevo usuario.

Pondremos a disposición de todos los administradores JMP 18 de forma automática. Los clientes existentes no tendrán que solicitar JMP 18.

El administrador ingresará las direcciones de correo electrónico de los usuarios que desea autorizar. A cada usuario se le enviará un correo electrónico para informarle que ya está autorizado a usar JMP 18 y para dirigirlo a Mi JMP si necesita o desea descargarlo.
No, actualmente no ofrecemos ningún informe al administrador sobre el uso de JMP por parte de sus usuarios autorizados.
Sí. Podrás ver quién ha sido autorizado a utilizar JMP para cada cuenta/contrato.

3. Una persona que no haya sido autorizada a utilizar JMP no podrá utilizar JMP. Si un administrador no tiene más autorizaciones disponibles, no podrá autorizar a ningún usuario adicional. El administrador es responsable de desautorizar a los usuarios y autorizar a otros nuevos.

1. Es correcto. Cada usuario de JMP deberá ser autorizado por un administrador, quien lo autorizará ingresando las direcciones de correo electrónico en una lista en Mi JMP.

2. El usuario simplemente instalará JMP en la nueva computadora y lo iniciará. Se le solicitará que autorice a través de My JMP. Es muy fácil.

Entiendo que un administrador de licencias incluye direcciones de correo electrónico en una lista para autorizarlas y que los usuarios de esas direcciones de correo electrónico reciben un correo electrónico para informarles que han sido autorizados para JMP y se les proporciona un enlace para descargar.

Tengo dos preguntas:

Muchas empresas utilizan un portal de software para distribuir el software que utilizan. Utilizan un script interno/de portal para permitir que los usuarios instalen el software. A menudo, los usuarios finales de este tipo de configuración no pueden descargar e instalar software a través de otro medio que no sea el portal corporativo. ¿Cómo se distribuye e instala JMP 18 en este escenario desde la perspectiva del administrador de licencias y del usuario?

La segunda pregunta se refiere a una implementación combinada de escritorio y nube. La implementación de escritorio se realiza de una de las formas anteriores, pero ¿cómo se realiza la implementación en la nube? ¿Existe alguna diferencia si el cliente opta por proporcionar a sus usuarios una instalación tanto en la nube como en el escritorio? ¿Cómo funciona esto desde la perspectiva del administrador de licencias y del usuario?

Una de las preguntas frecuentes dice:

P: Tenemos algunos contratos que permiten que cualquier persona de una empresa utilice JMP. ¿Tienen que informarnos de todos sus empleados?
R: No, les pediremos que nos indiquen los dominios de correo electrónico y otorgaremos automáticamente una autorización de software para cualquier persona que inicie sesión en My JMP con una dirección con esos dominios.

¿Esto es válido también para licencias universitarias? En caso afirmativo, ¿qué proceso deben seguir nuestros clientes para indicar qué dominios de correo electrónico deben validarse previamente?

@Laura_Rodriguez El administrador puede iniciar sesión en My JMP y descargar una lista de usuarios que haya autorizado. Ningún usuario que no sea administrador puede ver la lista en My JMP y no deberíamos proporcionar la lista fuera de My JMP.
