'DOE use in agriculture (orchards, horticulture)'
I have no experience in the agricultural field at all, so I'm a bit vague.
Randomization Constraints, Split Design ?
Idea and Reference are required

I would consider looking at randomized complete block, balanced incomplete block, split plot, and strip plot designs and their analysis. Split plots and their variations were developed within the agricultural field by R.A. Fisher and Frank Yates.
