Does anybody know how to get PlotCol Box to generate the confidence bands / bars we see with things like the means comparisons in Fit Y by X? Examples below:
Hi @MikeD_Anderson ,
How about the following JSL?
nw = New Window( "Example", Table Box( pcb1 = Plot Col Box( "Interval", {25, 40, 5, 10, 10, 5} ) ), Table Box( pcb2 = Plot Col Box( "Bar", {25, 45, 5, 10, 10, 5} ) ) ); //Interval pcb1 << Lower( [20, 30, 0, 5, 5, 0] ); pcb1 << Upper( [30, 50, 10, 15, 15, 10] ); pcb1 << Set Plot Style( Interval ); //Bar pcb2 << Lower( [20, 30, 0, 5, 5, 0] ); pcb2 << Upper( [30, 50, 10, 15, 15, 10] ); pcb2 << Set Plot Style( Bar );
I hope it helps.
It did indeed! Many thanks!
Best,
M
If I want to set the axis scale to log10, how to do that?
From the Scripting Index:
Names Default To Here( 1 ); dt = Open( "$sample_data\World Demographics.jmp" ); New Window( "World Population", Table Box( "test", String Col Box( "Territory", :Territory << get values ), pcb = Plot Col Box( "Population", dt:Name( "Population (1000)" ) << get values ) ) ); pcb << Set Axis( Min( 0 ), scale( "log" ), Format( "Best", 6 ), Inc( 1 ), Minor Ticks( 1 ) ); pcb << set axis position( "Bottom" ); pcb << set width( 300 ); pcb << set plot style( "Interval" ); pcb << set scrollable( 25 );
I notice in general axis box settings you can specify the base for the log scale. Can this be done with the Plot Col Box axis?
No, I do not think you can change the base of the logarithms used to scale this plot. Where did you see this feature? Do you have an example?
