When you start JMP, a "Tips for Use" window will appear, as shown below. It's like a tips collection that collects tips and tricks for using JMP effectively, and every time you start it up, one random hint from among 81 hints is displayed.
If you casually look at this window, you may discover something new and realize that you can do this with JMP.

Add-in that summarizes "Usage hints" in a data table
I once heard from a customer that he was learning how to use the tips by putting them in a table format in Excel. Indeed, I felt that it would be effective to look at all of these tips in a list and pick up the ones that seemed useful.
So I created a simple JMP data table with some tips.

This table is accompanied by a tip title, associated web links, and an image image. In addition, I have added columns such as ``genre'' (data tables, user interface, etc.) and ``recommended'' that I thought of.
This table can be used by installing the add-in (JMPTipsTable17.jmpaddin) that can be downloaded from this blog. After installation, select [Open Usage Tips Table] from [Add-ins] on the menu bar to open the corresponding table. however, This add-in is only compatible with the Windows version of JMP 17. It is not compatible with the Mac version or earlier versions.

Please take advantage of it.
How URL links work in JMP data tables
In the data table introduced above, The URL for each hint is listed in the "Link" column. Clicking on this URL will open the associated HTML file and allow you to view the contents of the tip.
The reason why the URL link works is that JMP's event handler ” column property is used.
When you click the URL contained in a data table cell, the page will open in a web browser. Add Event Handler as a column property.

Then, you can view the link destination in a web browser by simply clicking on the cell containing the URL. Please take advantage of this feature.
