Austin, TX
What was your first job?
My first paid job was selling Polito Family Farms fruit at farmer's markets. My first "hired" job was sweeping trash and cleaning bathrooms at Legoland California.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I am a Senior Systems Engineer working with strategic accounts in the high-tech manufacturing industry. No two days are alike. The challenges are different, the customers are working to solve different problems, and the people are all so different. I have learned so much from our customersâthey have helped me become infinitely better at my job. So, I guess I would say, the people and what they bring is what makes my job so great. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention I love working with my two teammates, Kyle and Ben. Problem-solving with them is a lot of fun.
What book are you reading?
The Count of Monte Cristo
What is your favorite movie genre?
Highly mood dependent but can't go wrong with laughing

Name one JMP-related achievement that youâre proud of.
Expanding the use of the Analytical Workflow Survey. It is such a powerful tool for organizations to assess where they are analytically, make a plan to improve, and track progress. The tool was already there and it has been so fun to learn how to use it effectively and share with others what we've learned.
Name one thing most of your colleagues would be surprised to know.
A girl broke my heart at 18 and I proceeded to hike 51 miles in 48 hours.
Name one other person in the division whom you admire and describe why in three sentences or fewer.
I admire Chuck Boiler (@chuck_boiler). I may be biased because he hired me but during the 2+ years he was my manager he taught me so much about communication, empathy, and how to be a quality human being. Equally important, he not only let me try out some of my crazy ideas (he said I was being "entrepreneurial") but encouraged and supported me.
