What inspired this Wish List Request?
Customer routinely creates Paynter charts in excel for Return Material Authorization (RMA) reporting purposes. The axis table capabilities in JMP are limited and will not work with the number of defect categories in their data.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
Expected outcome (from excel)
Solution/improvement must also be scriptable.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided? All reporting and analysis done in JMP.
Is this an external customer request? The request comes from Jacob Steward at Microchip. Jacob is a quality engineer.
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of? Excel
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this? Not solving in JMP could limit expansion. Jacob works in a team that is largely made of up of excel users. Replicating common analysis graphs and reports is important for them to justify a complete move to JMP.
