Overview
For some of our largest customers we have established some "private" support groups in the JMP User Community.
These groups are a secure mechanism for communication between users at that customer and us here at SAS. All Community members from the customer with an email in their email domain(s) will be automatically granted access to the group. All SAS employees will also have access to the group.
For customers that don't have an internal hub for JMP communications this space can fill that void, connecting JMP users from across the organization with each other and with us.
Boards
There are three main boards in each of these groups. They mirror the boards available in the main part of the JMP User Community:
- Wish List - This board gives customers a place to express their desires and ideas for enhancements to JMP. Users can comment on the ideas here and indicate support by giving a kudo. As one of our largest customers we want to know how we can make JMP more valuable for them.
- Discussions - Users can post questions or comments and solicit input from other users at the customer or from SAS staff. While this isn't an official support channel we do monitor these boards and try to respond to questions where we can help. We will also use this board to announce customer care opportunities (e.g., JMP Days, Discovery Summit, etc.) available to the users at that customer.
- Library - This is a board with reference materials specific to the customer. We may post support materials from JMP Days. The customer may post installation instructions or analysis standards or answers to frequently asked questions.
Notifications
Every user from the customer's email domain will be automatically added to the group and subscribed to the boards. They will receive email notification of new posts in these boards. These email notifications can be controlled by each user in their community subscriptions.
Commitment from the customer
These groups do require commitment from champions at the customer to ensure their success. Champions must be willing to promote the group and encourage participation.
