What inspired this Wish List Request?
The original request came from Taiyo Yuden. The part of their requests has already been realized on JMP17. See JMP-3110.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
The user want to plot variances and/or standard deviations with the confidence intervals. This can be done on JMP17's Oneway, but Masakazu Okada-san, SE for Taiyo Yuden at JMP Japan, suggests that it would be better to do it also on the Graph Builder.
To see the current situation on the Graph Builder, please run the script below. Note that Error Interval( "Confidence Interval" ) is specified in this script. The point estimates for standard deviations and variances are plotted on the Graph Builder, but confidence intervals for them aren't shown.

What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
They, Taiyo Yuden, know that they can plot stddevs and vars with CIs if they use JSL (like the blow). But they would like to do it more easily without JSL.

Yes. The user is Taiyo Yuden, and SE for them is Masakazu Okada-san at JMP Japan.
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
I don't know. (I think you can do it also on the ohter software if you write programming code, but I don't know a flexible and point-and-click software like the Graph Builder).
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
I don't think so. (They would like us to implement this feature, but they don't request so strongly, so I think they continue to use JMP and JMP's Graph Builder if the Graph Builder doesn't have this feature).
