Principal Account Executive Brian McCreary and Principal Systems Engineer Kemal Oflus met with 130 users at Illumina (80 in person at Illumina’s HQ; 50 online), where Oflus presented new features in JMP 17, resulting in JMP 17 now being available to Illumina’s user population. The session also served as a catalyst for Illumina to set up an internal Teams channel to help its JMP users communicate with each other, IT, and its Biostats group.
“The process and delivery of a JMP Inspire event elevates our status at an account," McCreary said. "The User Enablement events team meticulously plans the event with the customer and the local Sales team. The process often starts with a regular survey or the workflow assessment tool to gauge topics to focus on; it moves from there to determine content and logistics.”
“For in-person events," McCreary continued, "User Enablement also provides catering, an assortment of JMP giveaways, and various educational assets to accentuate the VIP experience for the customer. The User Enablement events team also creates email invitations and registration pages for all JMP Inspire sessions. All this extra attention ensures that we optimize attendance. I am sure participation would be lower had it just been a standard workshop organized by the local team."
Inspire also proved to be a vehicle to open up a dialog with more groups at Illumina that may not be fully connected with JMP. "During conversations at the planning stage, we identified the need for a workshop for Illumina’s growing Biostats team,” McCreary said.
