Hamid Sanei is a student and Ph.D. candidate at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. This summer, he is interning as a Statistical Writer on the JMP Documentation team.
Statistical Documentation Team Lead Michael Crotty is Hamid’s day-to-day manager. He shared that Hamid has been working on various examples in the statistical documentation. This work includes adding new examples, enhancing existing examples that didn’t provide enough details, and updating some examples to use better data tables. "We’re so excited to have him making the statistical documentation even more helpful to our users!" Crotty said.
Nicole Jones (@Nicole_Jones) echoed Michael’s excitement. "In addition to making the statistical documentation even more helpful, Hamid’s work will enhance the quality of our software as well as customer satisfaction," she said.

Industry experience is an important factor motivating me to intern at JMP. I believe that this internship can provide valuable industry experience, allowing me to apply my academic knowledge in a real-world setting and gain practical skills. Also, I hope that the internship can offer opportunities for professional growth and development, such as learning new technologies, working on challenging projects, and gaining exposure to industry best practices. Networking is another motivation to intern at JMP as this internship might provide the chance to network with professionals in the analytics field, establish connections, and potentially open doors for future career opportunities. And finally, I hope that an internship at JMP could lead to future employment opportunities within the company or enhance my profile for other job prospects in the industry.

A pilot.

Developing essential skills (e.g., communication, teamwork, problem-solving, time management), and working on meaningful projects allowing me to make a tangible impact and showcase my abilities.
