Variability Charts - how to 'Connect Group Means'

Question

Hi, I'm using Variability Charts and I would really like to be able to 'Connect Group Means', just like I am now able to select 'Connect Cell Means'.

Is there any way to do this, or to achieve the same thing via editing the generated script?

Replying to myself, I'd also like to be able to create Separators at the various Group levels, instead of at the topmost/cell level like it does now. Is there a way to do that?
