Hi,
I am new to JMP and was getting confused in the interpretation of the odds ratio table while conducting a logistic regression.
I am checking if age range has an impact on a person's choice of beverage (Cold beverage & Not a Cold Beverage) and got the following results:
Level1 | /Level2 | Odds Ratio |
16 - 30 years old | 31 - 49 years old | 0.40 |
16 - 30 years old | Above 50 years old | 0.02 |
31 - 49 years old | 16 - 30 years old | 1.56 |
I wanted to know what level is the reference level here?
And how can I interpret this table?
I think the reference level is level 1 and in that case the interpretation would be:
The age group 31-49 years old (level 2) has a 60% lower likelihood of choosing a cold beverage than 16-30 years old (level 1).
Is this interpretation correct or am I wrong?
