After 2020’s quick pivot to online and virtual customer meetings, Sales teams are back on the road, meeting users in person to demonstrate everything JMP can do. These meetings come in many forms – from JMP Inspire events to user group meetings to lunch and learn gatherings – but they all have one thing in common: JMP experts making and nurturing connections with users.
And the results of these meetings are tangible.
After a user group meeting in Boston that focused on pharma customers, Ashley Prince says, “Our users really embraced the in-person aspect of the event; they were extremely eager to make relationships with other users in their industry, as well as our JMP staff. After the pandemic hiatus, we consider these regional user groups relaunched and highly reinvigorated.”
Kathy Walker says her User Enablement events team is excited to help with JMP Inspire events in the U.S. and ready to plan more in-person events. For JMP Inspire in Europe, both Maria Serés and Chris Sanger are ready to help. “We hope all Sales teams will think about the customers who could really benefit from face-to-face meetings, and then contact me to start planning an event.”
Need a little clarification on which kind of event would work best for your customer? Read on:
- JMP Inspire: These events can be in-person or virtual. In-person events are held on site at a customer’s facility and are open to any size account. Among other requirements, the customer needs to have at least one group within the organization that uses JMP or JMP Pro, have an advocate who has an existing relationship with the customer’s account team, and be willing to choose from a menu of topics provided by User Enablement. Lunch or other catering is an option for in-person attendees.
- User Group Meetings: User group meetings can take a variety of forms, from intracompany meetings to regional or industry-specific groups. While they can be held on site at a customer, they can also be in a more relaxed setting, such as a restaurant, or at the GEC on campus. Robin Moran is the person to ask if you have any questions about user group meetings.
- Lunch and Learns: Lunch and Learn events are complimentary sessions designed to expand JMP knowledge in about an hour over lunch, usually at a customer site. They are organized without involving the User Enablement events team, so the Sales team can set the agenda and handle the planning.
And don’t let travel budget constraints hold you back. All Sales teams should be able to identify potential meeting sites within driving range, making half-day events possible.
