D'autres stagiaires ont décrit se sentir « pas à leur place » dans une entreprise de technologie entourée de majors en informatique. JMP met un point d'honneur à valoriser le travail de tous ses stagiaires, qu'ils occupent ou non un poste technique.
Venir chez JMP et rencontrer d'autres stagiaires qui correspondent à un créneau similaire au mien m'a rassuré et m'a rendu encore plus enthousiaste à l'idée de contribuer à l'entreprise. Tous les stagiaires que j'ai interviewés ont dit avec enthousiasme à quel point ils étaient heureux de faire un travail important qui était pratiquement fait à la main pour leurs compétences. Chez JMP, il y a assurément une place pour chacun. En tant qu'individu axé sur la technique, Brad déclare : « Ils ne vous amèneront pas nécessairement dans une équipe où tout le monde est exactement comme vous. "Ils ont des stagiaires qui font des choses vraiment importantes et à partir de là, ils veulent qu'ils continuent à faire des choses importantes et ils veulent donc qu'ils restent chez SAS." dit Maddi. "Il y a beaucoup de solidarité ici." Kyra me l'a dit. "JMP est un endroit tellement chaleureux, et cela me donne envie de travailler tous les jours et d'être au bureau."

Lors de la collecte d'expériences de stagiaires, de nombreuses personnes m'ont raconté comment les employés de JMP se sont mis en quatre pour qu'ils se sentent les bienvenus. Pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns :
- De nombreux managers éloignés se sont rendus à Cary pendant Internpalooza pour rencontrer leurs stagiaires et leur présenter JMP.
- Alors que j'étais assis tout seul au café, attendant quelqu'un, Diana Levey m'a demandé si je mangeais seul et m'a invité à m'asseoir avec elle.
- Les collaborateurs de JMP se rendront dans les cabines et se présenteront aux stagiaires, désireux de découvrir qui nous sommes et quels sont nos projets ; tout le monde veut connaître les stagiaires.
- Ryan Gilmore a organisé plusieurs réunions avec d'autres stagiaires et moi-même pour rencontrer les différentes équipes de JMP et en savoir plus sur ce qu'elles font.
- Un stagiaire n'a pas eu de badge de sécurité pendant les deux premières semaines. Jeff Perkinson s'est mis en quatre pour s'assurer que le stagiaire entre dans le bâtiment tous les jours.
- Andretti Brown m'a offert du macaroni au fromage après m'être lamenté de ne pas pouvoir aller déjeuner un jour.
- Être interviewé par les membres de nos équipes potentielles, et non par un responsable du recrutement typique.
Les stagiaires trouvent leur succès chez JMP d'innombrables manières différentes. Certains trouvent le succès en étant constamment poussés et mis au défi, d'autres en contribuant à aider les gens grâce aux données, et d'autres trouvent le succès en faisant simplement de leur mieux. Quelle que soit la façon dont ils définissent ce qui fait d'eux ce qu'ils sont en tant que personnes qui réussissent et font un vrai travail, JMP nous aide tous à devenir meilleurs.
