Entrando en JMP:
Al llegar a SAS, los internos describen sus sentimientos como “emocionados”, “nerviosos” y “abrumados”. A medida que nos acostumbramos a JMP y su cultura, nos encontramos sumergiéndonos de lleno en nuestro trabajo. Ahora que se ha alcanzado el punto medio de la pasantía, los pasantes ahora se describen a sí mismos como "cómodos", "seguros" y "empoderados". “JMP realmente prioriza el aprendizaje; no esperan que lo sepas todo. Quieren que seas adaptable y quieren que estés dispuesto a aprender”. Michael Lee, pasante de ventas internas, dice.

Como pasante de marketing de campo, Maddi siempre ha estado interesada en mantenerse al día con las tendencias de marketing, lo que coincide perfectamente con su trabajo en JMP. La natación es algo que surgió varias veces mientras entrevistaba a los pasantes. Kyra descubre que la ayuda a administrar su tiempo y sus horarios dentro y fuera del trabajo. Emily Cohen, pasante de escritora técnica, notó que su disfrute del ganchillo la preparó para el trabajo a veces lento y tedioso que implicaba en una empresa de estadísticas. Como pasante en el extremo menos técnico de las cosas, escuchar sobre todos los pasantes de SAS y JMP en investigación y desarrollo me hizo cuestionar mi valor como miembro del equipo. Otros pasantes describieron sentirse "fuera de lugar" en una empresa de tecnología rodeada de estudiantes de Ciencias de la Computación. JMP se esfuerza por valorar todo el trabajo de sus pasantes, ya sea que estén en una posición técnica o no.
Venir a JMP y conocer a otros pasantes que encajan en un nicho similar al mío reafirmó mi valor y me entusiasmó aún más para contribuir a la empresa. La cultura de JMP se extiende mucho más allá de separar y combinar simultáneamente su vida profesional y personal. Hailee Austin, Event Planner Intern, me lo dijo. La notable tasa de pasantes que se convirtieron a tiempo completo fue una sorpresa para algunos; el éxito que JMP encuentra en sus pasantes continúa en su vida profesional. “Tienen pasantes que hacen cosas realmente importantes y luego quieren que sigan haciendo cosas importantes y quieren que se queden en SAS”. Maddi dice. “Aquí hay mucha unión”. Kira me dijo. “JMP es un lugar muy cálido y me emociona querer trabajar todos los días y estar en la oficina”.

- Muchos de los gerentes que son remotos viajaron a Cary durante Internpalooza para conocer a sus pasantes y presentarles JMP.
- Mientras estaba sentado solo en el café, esperando a alguien, Diana Levey me preguntó si estaba comiendo solo y me invitó a sentarme con ella.
- Los empleados de JMP acudirán a los cubículos y se presentarán ante los becarios, deseosos de conocer quiénes somos y cuáles son nuestros proyectos; todos quieren conocer a los pasantes.

Los pasantes están encontrando su éxito en JMP de innumerables maneras diferentes. Algunos encuentran el éxito en ser empujados y desafiados constantemente, otros lo encuentran en contribuir a ayudar a las personas a través de los datos, y otros encuentran el éxito simplemente haciendo su mejor esfuerzo. No importa cómo definan lo que los hace quienes son como personas exitosas que hacen un trabajo real, JMP nos está ayudando a todos a ser mejores.
