JMP internships allow students the ability to explore a possible future career, network with professionals in the field, and gain valuable experience they wouldn't get in the classroom. Interns are a valuable resource to JMP as well, helping us invest in our future success by discovering new talent and potential leaders.
The 'Meet the Interns' series display features these bright individuals – their work, their hobbies, and more! If you are an intern that would like to be featured, fill out this form.

Meet the Interns: JR Cobb (@jrcobb)
Manager: Meg Hermes (@Meg_Hermes)
JR Cobb is a biochemistry major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This summer he will be a Science and Technology Writer Intern for the WW Marketing department.
Even just one month into his internship, JR has already taken on wide-ranging responsibilities: interviewing and communicating with customers, editing video, writing success stories and contributing to strategic discussions around our new influencer marketing initiative. His ongoing projects involve a number of key accounts including Novozymes, NXP, BASF and Novo Nordisk.
"Those of us who have been in this business for a while understand how important it is for scientists to be good communicators – and for communicators to be well-versed in the language, processes and objectives of science," Meg Hermes, Principal Customer Reference Manager says. "My hope is that this internship will provide JR with a sense of how these skillsets fit together, and how scientific innovations really are the product of an ongoing collaboration between industry, academia and our community here at JMP where statistics is the universal language."

Thanks for sharing, JR. If you're interested in splurging for a sweet camera, there are lots of JMPers who love photography and love their fancy cameras. You have lots of people to geek out with.
Also, I'd love to meet Rosie. She is obviously a very good sport!
