Meet the Interns: Vidisha Mahajan (@vidishamahajan)

Vidisha Mahajan is a student at North Carolina State University studying Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She is working as a Technical Intern in the JMP IT department.
Vidisha will be working this summer on various digital operations and marketing projects and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
"She is currently an integral part in assisting the Digital Marketing Team with their significant migration to the new content management system (CMS) as well as updating the website and creating and editing content." says Candice Gervase, Salesforce Team Manager. "Vidisha will also be conducting research into our current leads, contacts, campaigns, and various marketing platforms and features and will provide insights and recommendations on ways that we can learn, collect, and track more information about our prospects and customers."

What made you want to intern at JMP?
What really drew me into JMP was the people and the culture. After having such an amazing interview with Candice and Aaron, I was able to get a deeper insight into how welcoming everyone is and how this is an environment that embraces curiosity and learning. My first week at JMP already reemphasized this great culture.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to do something creative like interior design or graphic design. As I grew older I became interested in all the room for creativity marketing has to offer.
What's something most people don't know about you?
I've lived in New Jersey for most of my life but recently moved to Charlotte.

Italy
What are you most excited about this internship?
I'm excited to learn more about my current passions and discover new interests. I'm also excited to network with other professionals who have similar and different interests than me and build those relationships.

I hope to challenge myself, professionally and personally. I'm excited to be comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable and step outside my comfort zone.
If you could splurge on one item and cost was no object, what would you buy?
A boat because my family and dog loves going on boats when we go to the beach!

What advice would you give prospective intern applicants?
It's important to be yourself and to also talk about your personal experiences and how you have learned from them. Connect with current JMP employees and interns and ask them questions about their experience working at JMP and how they joined.
