June is Pride Month, a time when we recognize our LGBTQ+ friends, colleagues, and family members who have fought through the years to be recognized and respected for the individuals they are.
At JMP, we celebrate the progress made toward creating a world that is more inclusive and equitable for the LGBTQ+ community, and to recognize there is still work to do.
“Pride Month is an opportunity to recognize and support our LGBTQ+ community,” Human Resources Director Paul Mastropolo (@pmastrop) said. “It is so important that we ensure that all employees feel that they can be their authentic selves in the workplace. At JMP, we strive to maintain a work culture that values respect, dignity, diversity, and inclusivity. I encourage JMP staff to learn more about LGBTQ+ events planned this month and to learn how to be Allies to this community.”
We invite anyone at JMP who celebrates Pride Month to record a short video (no more than 30 seconds) explaining what Pride means to them or to take a picture holding a sign with one word that sums it up. Your video or picture could be featured on JMP social media channels! Email Communications Specialist Sarah Cromer if you’d like to contribute a video or selfie.
